Vinyl floors come in either a sheet which is commonly known as cushioned vinyl or a tile/plank design which is solid,uncushioned product, for example, Karndean.

Cushioned vinyl is the most popular, choice for kitchen and bathrooms as it is a sheet floor,spills and splashes can simply be wiped up, and is also extremely hard wearing if fitted on a sound subfloor.

Karndean is a far superior product than a standard sheet vinyl, which is a totally different product. the tiles/planks are laid individually and fully stuck to the subfloor. It is far less likely to damage when moving heavy items than cushion floor..
